PEO presents Laser Components APD (Avalanche Photo Diode) modules to detect even the smallest amount of light (400 nm to 1650 nm) quickly and reliably
With the help of APD modules from Laser Components, even the smallest amount of light can be detected quickly and reliably. This quality is essential in data transmission, laser radars, rangefinders, or biomedical systems. The heart of our APD modules is a low-noise Si or InGaAs avalanche photodiode with a preamplifier and an integrated high voltage power supply. The built-in temperature compensation facilitates extremely reliable operation of this module at a constant gain across a wide temperature range.
The built-in InGaAs detector has a diameter of 200 µm, which makes it possible to measure in the spectral range from 1000 nm to 1650 nm.
The silicon versions from 400 nm to 1100 nm are available with integrated APDs of D = 500 µm and D = 1.5 mm. They offer a bandwidth from DC to 10 MHz.
Because all the components are stored in a small, shielded metal housing (approx. 75 x 56 x 26 mm), only a standard 12 VDC power supply is required for operation.
